Geography
      The Municipality of Milaor is only three kilometers south of Naga City. It is bounded on the south by the Municipality of Minalabac, on the southwest by the Municipality of San Fernando, on the West Side by the Municipality of Pamplona and on the northwestern side by the Municipality of Gainza.

      The whole area of the Municipality covers a span of about 6,500 hectares of which is in the eastern portion is located the seven barangays endowed with favorable elevations, safe from flooding hazard and are also considered as the main producers of rice and agricultural products in the Municipality. In the western portion is located the thirteen remaining barangays of the area, considered as a fertile area but situated within the flooding zone and is a rich area for fishing activities rather than for the production of agricultural products specially during the wet season.
Hydrology
      Milaor bounds with several inland waters including the following creeks:
  • Sacayan Creek passing throught Balagbag,
  • Borongborongan and Del Rosario.

  • Dalipay Creek
  • Napoho Creek
  • Lipot Creek
  • Flordeliz Creek

      On the other hand, the Bicol River passes by the barangays of San Vicente, Dalipay, Amparado, Sto. Domingo, San Miguel, Alimbuyog and a portion of Cabugao, Sto. Domingo, Del Rosario and San Roque.
Getting There
      By Land: From Naga City, Milaor is accesible via a short 10 minute leisurely travel by jepney. Manila to Naga takes six to seven hours trip by car or bus. Regular day and night aircon and regular buses ply the Manila-Naga route. The visitor may choose from several modes of transportation according to need and preference of comfort, rates vary according to distance traveled and number of hours used.

      By Air: Flight from Manila via Philippine Airlines, Asian Spirit or Air Philippines will bring you to the upgraded Naga airport daily and twice during Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays in a 45 minute flight from the airport.
Climate
      Milaor is characteristically a temperate municipality. There are only two distinct seasons that prevail throughout the year, the dry and the wet season. Dry season covers the months starting in the middle part of January to the later part of May, while the wet season occurs during the months of June until December. Torrential rains occur most frequently in the months starting from August to December.

      Rain usually occurs and signals the advent of the wet season during the month of June. Recorded monthly rainfall based from the PAGASA report stated that a total of 48,600 mm. Average rainfall incidence exists within the months of January, June, October and December.

      The municipality has a very moderate temperature. Highest temperature readings are usually experienced in the months of March, April, May, June up to July with a temperature reading of not less than 27 centigrade.
