Shia Beliefs According to Sunnis

Too many lies have been spread against Shias and Shiaism which confirms that Satan is working against Shiaism, trying to destroy it from its roots. Satan had challenged Allah that he will block the Sirat ul Mustaqeem (The Right Path) and will misguide people. This indirectly proves that shiaism is indeed the right path.

Some of the lies regarding the shia beliefs according to my sunni friends are as follows:

• Shias believe that revelation came to Muhammad by mistake, and that Ali ibn Abu Talib was supposed to receive the revelation.
   
• Shi'as believe that the standard of Immamat is higher than the Prophethood.
   
• Shia's believe that Angels bring WEHI to the Imams, every Friday, they go to MIRAJ.
   
• Shia's believe that there is an Alteration in the Qur'an. A big part of the Qur'an is missing Like the Torah and the Bible, they claim that the Qur'an is also corrupted and there were changes made in it. The Shi'a Quran is different from the actual Quran.
   
• Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Umer never became true Muslims according to the Shi'a.
   
• In the name of Mutt'a, Shi'a faith allows its followers to commit adultery. They allow man and woman to have sexual relations without having the NIKKAH. Mutt'a is a temporary Nikkah whereby you do not need witnesses. If the man and woman agreed, they can do Mutt'a. Mutt'a could be performed for ONE hour, ONE day, ONE month or whatever time limit was agreed upon by the two consenting parties. Mutt'a could be done with any women even professional prostitutes. Mutt'a is higher than SALAT, FASTING, and HAJJ. When after performing Mutt'a , man and woman take Ghussul ( bath) , Allah(swt) forgive their sins in the amount of the hair in their bodies those became wet during the Ghussal. 
   
• Shias perform group sex on the 9th of Muharram. The illegitimate child grows up to be a shia scholar. 

And the list goes on. Glory be to Allah, and this is a big slander. What sort of a mind is ready to believe such lies, lies created by people such as Mullahs who want to destroy shiaism from its roots. some of the points mentioned on the link you've posted are right, you can get the explanation from articles on this site.

A point worth mentioning here is that alot of people judge islam by seeing Muslims, which is wrong. Muslims go astrayy from Islam too, similarly, not all Shias do what Shiasm exactly is..

it is always wise and as the quran says, be sure before you believe something.

my father is a sunni and almost all of my best friends are sunnis.. they all know what the shias beleive.

i can give you a reference..

Does this really make sunnis beleive the above said bullsh*t?

So it is always better to ask a person what he beleives rather than forcing them to beleive something..

Lets say even if some shia book talks crap, that does not represent shiaism or shia beleifs.. To know shiat, know the imams of the shias.

Shia beleifs are exactly as what this website www.sdol.org states.

if you still have any doubts brother, you should be sincere with yourself and live amongst the shias "disguised" so that you can really know their beleifs if you do not trust me. wasalaam

no person from any sect is safe if he misses any one of the following qualities

- who believe (with strength)
-  who do good
- who preach others to do good
- who are patient
