This is the third incarnation of a web page that I began when I was a 1L (first year law student) in order to give myself a distraction from law school. It is now four years later, and this has turned from a neccessary distraction into an expression of personal interests and creativity, and a chronicle of important events in my life, such as my recent wedding.
To be honest, I find the whole idea of a personal web page just a bit self-indulgent and egocentric. In fact, I find much of the web to be nothing but self-indulgent and egocentric. It just boggles me that anyone would want to know enough about a total stranger to necessitate a web site devoted to that person.
So I am assuming that few, if any, people will visit this page. This is for me to use as I see fit -- as a distraction, a creative outlet, a manifesto -- whatever. That it is in a public forum does not designate it as designed for the public.
Of course, I do not mind if someone stumbles across this page and reads it. In fact, I would be delighted it someone found my information or opinions helpful to them. But the point of this exercise is for me to create a multi-sensory creative and information resource for myself. If others find it, well, the more the merrier, I suppose.
