Göteborg Open
Dear shogi friends,
Participate in Goteborg Open 2007! The dates are Saturday-Sunday,
October 6 to October 7 2007. This year, the event will take place one
and a half months earlier than usual, and we hope that the visitors
will appreciate the Goteborg weather better a little bit earlier in the
autumn. It is good if you send a pre-registration to Carl Johan, so he
knows rather well how many participants there will be.
GOTEBORG OPEN 2007
OCTOBER 6-7
Venue: Goteborgs Schackcentrum, Vegagatan 20. It is easy to reach this
place with tram No. 1 from the Central Station heading towards
Sahlgrenska (10 min.). Get off at Prinsgatan and walk 200 m.

Thinking time: 45 minutes + 40 s byo-yomi
Participation fee: 100 SEK
Pairing: Nordic Swiss using Swiss Perfect
Prizes: The sum of the participant fees minus the cost for using the
venue results in money prizes. There will also be cups for positions 1
to 3 as well as rating prizes for 1-kyu to 5-kyu, 6-kyu to 10-kyu, and
11-kyu down to beginners.
